Worship is at the heart of any Christian community.

We gather together to give thanks to God for the gifts of life and grace,

for the freedom to gather together in praise and worship of God's holy name.

We open for in-person worship at 11 a.m. every Sunday with the following protocols in place:

  • Face masks are now optional for fully vaccinated individuals in worship and on the church campus.
  • Face masks are still required for those who have not been fully vaccinated.
  • Registration is no longer required to attend worship.
  • All pews will be open for seating with the exception of the balcony which will remain closed.
  • Please sign and pass the attendance pads.
  • The offering plates will be passed during the offertory.
  • Gordon Hall will be set-up for those who are more comfortable under the previous protocols of greater social distancing and mask wearing.
  • We will continue with prepackaged communion for the foreseeable future.
  • We will begin to utilize our usher teams again. If you are interested in serving as an usher, please contact Laura Montgomery in the church office at 352-378-1527.
  • We will hold fellowship time in the Narthex after worship with prepackaged cookies and drinks available.
  • Session will consider restarting the 8:30 a.m. worship service soon.

Virtual Worship will continue to be available every week as well. Full service audio is found on the homepage or worship videos are on YouTube. Search "1stpc" on YouTube or links are sent in the Weekly Invite email late in the week. Both options are avaliable live at 11 a.m. or anytime after noon. **For closed captioning on YouTube, hover over the bottom of the video and click on the CC sign for autogenerated subtitles.

Prayer of Belief

Lord Jesus Christ, I admit I am weaker and more sinful than I ever before believed, but, through you, I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope.  I thank you for paying my debt, bearing my punishment and offering forgiveness.  I turn from my sins and receive you as Savior.  Amen.  (If you are saying this prayer for the first time today, please let us know at 378-1527.)
