Worship
Worship is at the heart of any Christian community. We gather together to give thanks to God for the gifts of life and grace, for the freedom to gather together in praise and worship of God's holy name.
WORSHIP TIMES
First Presbyterian of Gainesville has two weekly worship services:
Sunday Morning at 8:30 a.m. and 10:55 a.m.
Radio Ministry live Sunday at 11:00 a.m. WFUF-AM 850 and Digital Cable Channel 946
The 8:30 a.m. service is held in Iona Chapel and offers a weekly communion service.
The 10:55 a.m. service is held in the Sanctuary and is a traditional service with a full chancel choir. The 10:55 a.m. service also includes Little KIDS-4-GOD and KIDS-4-GOD.
This worship service is available beginning at 11:00 a.m. on WRUF, AM 850 on Sunday morning. A Compact Disc (CD) is available of the service for $2. Please e-mail communications@1stpc.org if you would like a copy of one of the 10:55 a.m. services.
We invite you to join us for worship any Sunday. Child care is provided during Sunday school and the 10:55 worship service for those families attending worship. Our Christian Education Sunday School classes for children, youth, and adults are offered from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. If you have any further questions please contact us.
Little KIDS-4-GOD: During the 10:55 worship service. This is a special learning and worship time for children four years old through Kindergarten age. Children are dismissed after the Time for Young Disciples for a structured time of learning while having fun with Mrs. Patti Hill, Kathy Decker and Margaret Dowling.
KIDS-4-GOD: During the 10:55 a.m. worship service. This is a special learning and worship time for children first through fifth grade. Children are dismissed after the Time for Young Disciples for a structured time of learning while having fun with Pastor Larry and other leaders.
